Paul Goebel, owner of Goebel Outdoor Group, began building kitchen knives for fun. A lifelong lover of woodworking, he spent many years making furniture, clocks, and various things requested by his bride. He made his first knife for his own kitchen, and while basic, it was far superior to anything he could purchase off the shelf. A drive for perfection led him to solicit advice from his brother in law, an executive chef who spends many hours in the kitchen each day. After working with various blades, handle shapes and weights, and many hours of use in a professional kitchen, Paul has perfected the “go to” knife for any kitchen use.  By combining the best performing blades, top quality materials and hours spent perfecting the details; Paul makes knives enjoyed and celebrated by professionals and amateurs alike.

  Paul and his wife live outside Nashville, TN with their 2 children and their dog.  When not making knives, Paul enjoys hunting, fishing, and cooking.
